Gibson Guitar will be showcasing the latest array of guitars, technology and audio equipment at the 2012 NAMM Show in Anaheim, California, January 19-22, 2012. Gibson USA, Epiphone, Gibson Acoustic and Gibson Gear each will host a dynamic and interactive area inside the Gibson exhibit (booth #303AB) for NAMM badge holders to experience firsthand. Plus, Gibson Custom will host its own, exclusive display in booth #C4861.

In addition to Gibson’s interactive showcase from the world’s premier music company, including the latest technology, models and signature series guitars from Ace Frehley, Derek Trucks, Kirk Hammett and Sheryl Crow with appearances from top artists including Brian Wilson, Dave Navarro, Donavan, Joe Bonamassa, Lee Roy Parnell and Billy Morrison

Thursday, January 19

11 a.m. Thurs.-Sat.: Nik Kai – A self-taught, phenomenally gifted 10-year-old rock and metal guitarist.

12 p.m.: Brian Wilson – The legendary Brian Wilson and his band will be stopping by the Gibson booth for an intimate performance before joining The Beach Boys 50th Anniversary Reunion tour.

11:30 a.m. (Gibson Custom Booth #C4861) and 2:30 p.m. (Gibson Booth #303AB) Thurs.-Sun.:Lee Roy Parnell  From a long line of Texas roots music eclectics, Parnell is among the elite few who can be identified as a triple threat: an ace guitarist, distinctive singer and hit songwriter. Parnell will be on hand throughout NAMM to personally demonstrate one of the most innovative guitars to come from the Custom Shop design team – the signature Lee Roy Parnell Signature Goldtop.

Friday, January 20

10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. (and 10:30 a.m. Saturday): Bryan Aspey  Winner of first international Truth in Shredding “Shred This” guitar competition, Bryan Aspey will be demonstrating Epiphone’s Masterbilt DR-500MCE and Les Paul Ultra-3.

2 p.m.: Dave Navarro – With his six-string skills best described as a merger between heavy metal, psychedelia and modern rock, Dave Navarro became one of alternative rock’s first true guitar heroes. Navarro will be promoting his Epiphone Dave Navarro Signature Acoustic/Electric.

3:30 p.m.: Jonathon “Boogie” Long  This year’s winner of the Guitar Center’s King of the Blues guitar competition for #1 Unsigned Blues Guitarist in America will head over to the Gibson booth to demonstrate the skills that got him crowned.

Saturday, January 21

1:30 p.m. (Gibson Booth #303AB) and 2:30 p.m. (Gibson Custom Booth #C4861): Joe Bonamassa  The guitar great will come by the Gibson booth to sign autographs and play a few licks.

3 p.m.: Ready Set Go! – Sibling pop/rock group Ready Set Go! will celebrate their signing with Warner Bros. Records at the Gibson booth with an acoustic performance.

4 p.m.: Billy Morrison  Billy Morrison is best known for his work with Billy Idol and, most recently, Camp Freddy.

In addition, the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus will be on display outside the convention center in the Arena Plaza each day during NAMM 2012. At 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, a special performance will take place with Gibson artist Jonathon “Boogie” Long and Leo Nocentelli, founding member of The Meters.
