Music pros have been converging at Holophone’s twin booths at NAMM 2013, as the originators of the surround sound microphone have staked out new ground with the launch of a range of new single channel mics unlike anything the industry has seen before.

Holophone’s new line of high-quality handheld mics are custom designed for stage and studio, including the Super C supercardioid, C+ cardioid, and Big O omni microphones. All three models deliver true individuality, with casing, windscreen, and grille instantly changeable to any of a wide range of custom colors for on-stage and on-camera versatility, as well as a whole new level of hygienic appeal.

One of the surprise smashes of the show has been the unveiling of Holophone’s new Classic model. With its striking retro-futuristic visual design and punchy, ballsy sound, the Classic has been turning heads and jamming the aisle as visitors stop in their tracks to check out this unmistakably unique new microphone.

“The Classic looks like no other mic on the planet, and people recognize that immediately,” says Holophone President and Founder Michael Godfrey. “We’ve gotten countless requests already from people wanting to use it in film and video shoots.” The Classic is available in cardioid pattern for vocals, and omni for choirs and ambiance miking.

Of course, the unique visual appeal of Holophone’s new line of microphones would be nothing if it weren’t for their sound. All new Holophone single-channel microphones have been created using the same proprietary capsule technology employed in Holophone’s acclaimed surround microphones, including the award-winning H2-PRO, the go-to mic for the world’s most prominent productions in Broadcast, Concert Sound, Film, and Music Recording.

Holophone is also debuting the results of their strategic collaboration with broadcast wireless leaders Quantum5X. The new Holophone-Q5X RF microphone systems integrate Holophone’s cutting-edge designs and unparalleled sonic quality with Q5X’s acclaimed high broadcast quality radio frequency technologies, to create a state of the art, audiophile quality wireless system delivering unparalleled sound, performance, and show-stopping looks.

If you’re visiting the NAMM show, be sure and stop by booths 5398 and 5499 in Hall B to see what all the buzz is about.
