Victor Wooten’s Night of Film and Music announce a special showing on January 26th from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.  This event is associated with this year’s National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) show and will take place at the Anaheim Hilton Hotel Grand Pacific Ballroom, located at 777 West Convention Way. The 5 Time GRAMMY® winner will perform and comment on the documentary, Haiti 10.

The spark for the film came from Jon Moyer, who visited Haiti in September 2010 to support recovery efforts from the devastating earthquake.  On that trip, Moyer met Pastor Pierre. The Pastor is a husband and father of 10, whose family committed to raise and support 20 orphaned or homeless children from the earthquake.  In visiting with the kids, Moyer learned the 2nd eldest was a bass player whose instrument was in terrible condition after the quake.  Through their conversations, Moyer learned the importance of music to this young man and which musicians provided him inspiration.   Moyer was committed to bringing the power of music to help inspire and heal this amazing community.  He reached out to music industry veteran Josh Vittek to give this young man the surprise of a lifetime: a visit in his own home, from his hero, Victor Wooten.

The result is Haiti 10, an incredible story of faith, love and music helping a community rise above the horrific 2010 earthquake. The Haiti 10 film crew consists of Jon Moyer (Director), Josh Vittek (Producer), Pete Johnston (Director of Photography), Kindra French (Co-Producer) and Joe Brandi (Co-Producer). Haiti 10 is scheduled for release in late 2013.
