Chthonic 2TAIWANESE METALLERS Chthonic have today released a video for ‘Supreme Pain For The Tyrant’ – the third and latest single from brand new seventh studio album, ‘Bú-Tik’.

Supreme Pain For The Tyrant is the follow-up to Chthonic’s recent single/video, ‘Sail Into The Sunsets Fire’. The clip is a collaboration between film director Cheng Wen-tang (鄭文堂) and short film director Chang Yih-feng (張軼峰), with the help of world renowned choreographer, Bulareyaung Pagarlava.

“This is a rare experience that gives me a chance to work with a different genre of music,” said Bulareyaung, who marks this project as his first time working with heavy metal music. “I was determined to take part in creating the music video when I heard the phrase ‘let me stand up like a Taiwanese’ in the song.”

Director Cheng adds, “It’s such a dream to work with Bulareyaung; the dream scene in my mind was realised when the dancing part was finished.”

The video depicts members of Chthonic travelling back in time to revisit a reception held by Nazi Germany and the Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) in 1930’s Shanghai. The gathering follows a government deal on military cooperation to assassinate officials.
