BALTIMORE (Thursday, July 30, 2015) – With general admission tickets increasing to $70 on SATURDAY and VIP tickets completely sold out, returns “heavier than ever” Saturday, Sept. 19 to Carroll Park with rock radio staples and ‘90s alternative giants — featuring Chester Bennington of Linkin Park on vocals — anchoring the daylong, two-stage lineup in the city’s Pigtown district. Last year’s Shindig drew a record-setting 10,000 music lovers — the most ever gathered at Carroll Park for an event — and was named BEST MUSIC FESTIVAL in Baltimore by the readers of Baltimore City Paper.

 

Joining the energy fueled festivities on this year’s two main stages will be the legendary , , , Helmet, Reverend Horton Heat plus exciting new buzz bands Nothing More and Crobot. Rounding out the talent ishomegrown favorites Silvertung, Black Angel Down and More to Monroe. Gates open at Noon. The all-day festival will feature two identical main stages with NO OVERLAPPING SETS of music. The Woods is home to the Ripley’s “Believe it or Not” Side Stage featuring an array of rare talent including a performance by local shock-rock troupe Dingleberry Dynasty, plus Sword Swallowers, Fire Breathers, Aerial Acrobats, Burlesque performances, Tattoo Contests, and many other visually captivating oddities. The VendingVillage is also located in The Woods, which offers a variety of Baltimore’s most popular restaurant and retail options with plenty of shade and seating to chill out and relax.

THE SHINDIG is truly a labor of love for its curator, well-known MD independent promoter, Paul Manna of 24-7 Entertainment. To that end Manna and 24-7 are giving back to the community, by donating 10% of Gross Ticket Sales are donated to three Baltimore Non-Profits: the Department of Recreation and Parks, BaltimoreMontessoriPublicCharterSchool, and Pigtown Main Street Association.
