“We are really happy to be partnering up once again with HardDrive for our upcoming US tour,” states Tremonti front man and founder Mark Tremonti. “We are equally as excited to tour with an awesome band as co-headliner. Our friends in Trivium!”
“We in Trivium are incredibly excited to be going on tour with Tremonti,” commented Trivium vocalist and guitarist, Matt Heafy. “It’s awesome to see two fellow metal and rock bands that are grown from metal, grown from the same bands, grown from the same hometown, to be able to go out and show the world our own brand of metal and show the world what we love to do and how we love to do it. We can’t wait to see everyone out there; we know it’s going to be a great time!”
Tremonti is touring in support of his recently released album Cauterize. The album debuted at #20 on the Billboard Top 200 when it was released and hit #1 on Top Rock Album and #7 on the Top Album Charts on iTunes. Tremonti features Mark Tremonti on vocals/guitars, Eric Friedman on guitars, Wolfgang Van Halen on bass and Garrett Whitlock on drums. The band has been touring without bassist Wolfgang Van Halen due to the recently announced Van Halen tour and Tanner Keegan has been filling in on bass until Wolfgang returns. Cauterize has been receiving critical acclaim across the board with Revolver recently stating “another successful fusion of thrash metal, soaring solos and Tremonti’s powerful post-grunge vocals.” ArtistDirect recently called the album a “…modern metal masterpiece.” A lyric video for the first single “Another Heart” can be seen at:
A second companion album of all new material called Dust is also completed and will be released in the near future.
Founded in 2000, Trivium catapulted into the first ranks of modern metal with 2004’s critically acclaimed Roadrunner debut, “ASCENDANCY,” which was named “Album of the Year” by Kerrang! Since then, Trivium has gone on to sell over one million records and tour with the likes of Metallica, Iron Maiden, Avenged Sevenfold and Volbeat.
Their most recent album, 2013’s “VENGEANCE FALLS,” made a stunning worldwide impact, arriving at #15 on the overall Billboard 200 marking the band’s second consecutive top 15 debut in the US and highest career debuts around the globe.
