VampsVAMPS are on their way. The dynamic duo of the Japanese rock scene will grace U.S. soil for only two shows this year, taking the stage at the iconic House of Blues in Los Angeles on December 4 and at the soon-to-be-closed Roseland in New York City on December 8.

These VAMPS gigs are shaping up to be “can’t miss” and “must see” events — these are no mere concerts!

The band, which is pretty much bigger than God in its native Japan, camping out at several-thousand seat venues for week-long residencies, has the U.S. squarely in its sights, promising a night to remember on each coast.

VAMPS plan to leave a mark.

The duo last crashed American shores over three years ago. They are back supporting Sex Blood Rock N’ Roll, a collection of hard-charging, addictively catchy rock anthems available now via Spinefarm Records in the U.S. Rock bible Kerrang! awarded the record a 4-K review, warning “Don’t let these VAMPS pass you by.”

Like Disturbed? Avenged Sevenfold? Black Veil Brides? Stone Sour? Dig bands with a delightfully dark look? Then you will certainly love the rock that VAMPS dole out.

Since these two shows mark the band’s sole U.S. appearances, fans are traveling far and wide to catch the band, coming from as far away as Michigan and Florida!

The band is beyond excited to make a return to the U.S. Commenting on the adrenaline rush and the excitement they feel as performers taking the stage and seeing their overseas fans, the duo said, “A concert is like a living, breathing thing. You never know what’s going to happen. We can’t wait have that experience with our fans on both coasts again! Our American fans and American audiences are always so good at expressing themselves with us during the show, making it fun to perform in front of them.”

Showing their humorous side, HYDE joked, “Can’t wait to see you and bite your neck,” nodding to the VAMPS aesthetic, while K.A.Z. summed things up succinctly, saying “Let’s have a party!”

ABOUT VAMPS: VAMPS are HYDE (L’Arc-en-Ciel) and K.A.Z (Oblivion Dust). These two musicians have been working closely producing HYDE’s solo work since 2003. Just after the release of their first single, “Love Addict,” on July 2, 2008, VAMPS launched an impressive Japan countrywide tour, “VAMPS LIVE 2008.” The tour consisted of an unprecedented 46 live performances in Japan’s six largest cities, all at the prestigious ZEPP concert venues. The tour was a tremendous success, and VAMPS haven’t stopped since. From 2008 to 2010, they performed about 200 concerts not only in Japan, but also all over the world (North America, South America, Hawaii, Europe and Asia).

Currently, VAMPS have released two full albums —Vamps and Beast– along with seven singles and five live DVDs. The second album Beast was ranked fourth in the sales charts in South America, the first time ever for a Japanese artist. That same year, they also received the “Billboard JAPAN Rising International Artist 2009” award. In July 2011, they released the live DVD Vamps Live 2010 World Tour Chile, which placed first on the sales charts!

VAMPS then successfully wrapped up another countrywide tour of Japan in 2012, while their annual Halloween event secured the prestigious distinction of being the largest Halloween gathering in Japan.

This year, VAMPS re-recorded an all-English, best-of, international album to launch their VAMPS 2013 European Tour. They hurried back to Japan for four sold-out Halloween event shows in both Kobe and Tokyo. To finish out a thrilling and successful 2013, VAMPS made their highly anticipated and much-lauded return to Los Angeles and New York, after a three-year break from performing on U.S. soil. The shows capped off a year of global dominance.
