The names Slim Jim Phantom, Jonny Bowler and Tim Polecat are synonymous with rockabilly hits, having secured their place as true rock ‘n roll icons. Phantom, as the legendary drummer for the Stray Cats, Tim Polecat, lead singer of The Polecats and Jonny Bowler as bass player for the Guana Batz. These long-time vets of rockabilly have joined together to form the one and only rockabilly all-star band – THE WHAMMY, now in preparation for a winter tour party, launching December 1st in Bakersfield, CA.
Across California and Nevada, The Whammy will be performing a variety of Stray Cats and Polecats songs, while the rest of their show lists will be rockabilly classics, some more obscure hits, interspersed with Whammy originals. The inaugural tour will rock to a close on December 22nd at Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown, CA. Dates will continue in the New Year with the tour picking back up in Denver on February 9th and continuing through the mid-west, with more to be announced shortly.
