Hard rock heavy-hitters and MTV featured bands The Sammus Theory (AZ) and Cage9 (CA) team up to create the final run of The Apocalyptic Takeover Tour, dubbed one of the most badass independent tours of 2012 by Alt Revolt Magazine.

The tour will start Friday, September 7th in Phoenix, AZ at The Roxy and will continue on through November 10th.  The tour is slated to mow through fourteen states including: Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and California.  The Apocalyptic Takeover Tour is sponsored by Best Buy Music Gear, Schecter Guitars, and Jagermeister.

“We’ve been wanting to take Cage9 on the road with us for over a year now,” says Hughes, vocalist for The Sammus Theory.  “We can’t wait to bring this tour to our fans across the country.  It’s going to be one hell of a show with both bands going balls-to-the-wall every night.”

“There’s no other band we’d rather be touring with this year than The Sammus Theory”, says Rodaniche, front man for Cage9.    “We’ve been keeping our fingers crossed that this pairing would become a reality for over a year now, so we’re stoked this is happening!  We’re ready to make some noise in America together and bring a killer show that people will be talking about for a long time.”

Collectively, both bands have toured/shared the stage with: Ozzy Osbourne, Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Three Days Grace, Bullet for my Valentine, Seether, Stone Sour, Filter, Shinedown, Buckcherry, Hinder, Candlebox, Sevendust, In This Moment, Hell Yeah, and many more.  Both bands have been in regular rotation on MTV with spins on several large commercial-radio markets.
