ELECTRA have been taking Los Angeles by storm and with Electra Barakos’ bachelors degree in Opera, she is able to draw in a crowd with her unique style of Pop-Rock that features hints of Opera. After competing on THE VOICE in Greece and making it all the way to the live shows, she has returned to her home town of Los Angeles to put out a record which plays on her Greek roots.
Lead singer, ELECTRA BARAKOS shares the idea of THESE TIMES by explaining, “Each of the 11 tracks have a different kind of story with different styles. Some of the songs are more personal and have to do with relationships and others have to do with politics. The lyrics for the songs were inspired by different moments of my life and my beliefs on politics and just life in general. ‘These Times’ kind of summed up the content of the album, which refers to how I feel, what I believe and what I was going through in ‘these times’.”
