DIRTY DEUCE BLACK AND WHITE BAND PICWisconsin rockers Dirty Deuce perform at a Lambeau Field Tailgate Party honoring the retirement of Green Bay Packers quarterback great ’s #4, on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26. 3 pm. Free with parking pass. 165 Lombardi Ave. This marks the last-ever tailgate party for the Favre family, according to Pete D’Amico, who organzied the event. A game between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears follows at 7:30 pm.

The Sturgeon Bay, WI-based band (‘Reverend’ Rob Atwood, guitars-vocals; Zach Vogel, bass; Jamey ‘J-Dirt’ Clark, drums) became friends with the Favre family some time ago, and were personally invited by the Favres to play on Brett’s special day. They have performed at Green Bay Packer-themed tailgate parties in the past at Lambeau Field and are a well-known fixture in the Wisconsin live music community.

Brett FavreThe sound is best described as rock-tinged alt-country with a strong melodic base, as heard on such tracks as “100 Years” and “Body Is A Temple”. You might also hear such varied influences ranging from 70’s Brit rock greats T. Rex, to that famed ‘Little Old Band From Texas,’ ZZ Top.

is presently in the studio recording a new album, the follow-up to their well-received 2012 LP, “Big Ol’ Sexy” (yes, it was released in vinyl format!) that Door County Pulse scribe Jim Lundstrum calls “raw and refined…meaty, beaty, big and bouncy. Just try to stop yourself from locking into ’s snarky rhythm, refrain from slapping something, or snapping your fingers, or playing an air power chord. Thy knows the hoodoo”.  Read the full review here.
