Radial Engineering is pleased to announce a win in Technical Achievement at the 27th annual TEC Awards held at the NAMM show on January 20, 2012.

The winning product, the Workhorse™ took the top prize in the Signal Processing/Software category. Radial President Peter Janis:

“Our team is thrilled. The Workhorse represents the culmination of years of design, engineering, refinement and then some. The Workhorse raises the bar for a new standard in 500 series frames and power supply. This acknowledgementis very gratifying and a clear indicator that our desire to set a new standard is shared by our peers and esteemed industry experts.”

The Workhorse WR8™ is an eight slot modular rack that is 100% backwards compatible with older API 500 series modules. It features superior flexibility in patching options, extra current for power hungry modules and the finest transformers known to the industry. New additions include facilities such as the Omniport™ that enable the manufacturer to introduce product specific features that can add greater functionality. When equipped with the 8 channel mixer, the format opens the door to both series and parallel processing, greatly enhancing the creative process.

The TEC Awards are presented by the TEC Foundation for Excellence in Audio, a charitable organization dedicated to promoting and recognizing excellence in the audio and music arts and sciences.
