The Oxymorons

The Oxymorons

The Oxymorons were a pop-punk / indie rock band from Dayton, OH from 1989-1994. They formed in the Spring of 1989 with Ben Schelker on vocals / guitar (ex-U-Dogs), Patrick Jones on Vocals / Guitar (ex-Fleshbats), Grog (Greg Simerlink) on bass and Pat Hennigan on drums. Within the next five months the Oxymorons started playing shows all around Dayton and released their first 10 song cassette “The Oxymorons”, then their drummer quit. Nick Atkinson took over on drums a few months later and the Oxymorons began playing out all over Ohio and Indiana.
