Indianapolis — Five-time Emmy Award-winning television personality Scott Houston will announce the release of his newest public television series, “Music Makers,” at The NAMM Show, held January 19-22 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. The announcement will take place during a press conference on Thursday, January 19 at 4:00PM PST in the NAMM Press Room. NAMM is the lead underwriter for season one of “Music Makers.”

“’Music Makers’ will give viewers a front-row seat to fascinating conversations with top personalities in all facets of the music business,” said Houston. “The show is designed to be a departure from a lot of the tabloid journalism airing today. It’s a behind-the-scenes series that will delve into in-depth, one-on-one conversations from those whose journeys have or continue to shape an industry that is, at its essence, all about the sheer joy of making music.”

Scott “The Piano Guy” Houston has been called “the Pied Piper of recreational music-making.” Since the debut of his highly successful public television pledge special, “Play Piano in a Flash!,” millions of viewers have been introduced to his motivational and entertaining approach to learning to play non-classical piano.

The popularity of the special led to the creation of Scott’s weekly public TV series, “The Piano Guy,” in April of 2004. One year later, the program became one of the first “how-to” shows to be produced in high definition. Now numbering more than 180 half-hour episodes, this Emmy Award-winning series has become must-see programming for music lovers and recreational music makers across the country.
