The first annual Rock To Recovery All-Star Jam sponsored by Casa Bella and The Beacon House was held on Oct 3, 2016 at The Fonda Theater in Hollywood and brought out musicians, actors and sports figures in support of the one-night charity event. A star studded red-carpet presentation of the first ever Rock to Recovery award and an all-star jam with members from Korn, Billy Idol and Linkin Park were on the bill in addition to a special performance by national recording and touring artist Filter.

Rock to Recovery was founded in 2012 by guitarist, songwriter and producer Wesley Geer of the legendary band Korn. Unlike other recovery programs Rock to Recovery “empowers people to release their feelings into music.” Inspired by the way music helped with his own recovery, Geer and his fellow musicians work not only with those in recovery, but with people suffering with PTSD, depression, anxiety, brain injuries and long term illnesses and offer them a way to transform their lives through music.

Rock to RecoveryCelebrities in attendance to watch the presentation and concert were Emmy and Golden Globe winning actress Jamie Pressly (Mom), former UFC champ Tito Ortiz, Scott Holliday (Rival Sons), pro skater Tony Alva, actresses Zita Vass and Mandy Amano, and comedian Andy Dick. The event opened with “The Rock to Recovery Journey,” an uplifting video of testimonials and stories from those whose lives have been changed for the better.

The Rock to Recovery all-star band along with members from Korn opened the show with the punk anthem Anarchy in the UK. The first Rock to Recovery award was presented to Mike Ness of Social Distortion who talked about his recovery and the power music had in changing his life. Afterwards Ness thanked everyone and proceeded to drop the mic to a thunderous applause.
