Space rock trio SILVERPLANES has launched a brand new single and video “Where You Gonna Run?” available today via Make Records / Universal Music Group. Buy/stream HERE

SILVERPLANES is singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Aaron Smart, drummer and backing vocalist, Jesse Kramer, and bassist / keyboardist, Ian Bass.

After releasing the highly acclaimed EP series, Gulfstream and Bombardier in 2017/2018, the band returns with their own brand of psychedelic- tinged alt rock. Debut single “Where You Gonna Run?” explores the mind game of feeling trapped in an infinite world. Smart’s space-dusted guitar licks and velvet vocals are anchored by an icy, hypnotic drumbeat from Jesse Kramer, son of Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer. A nostalgic ‘90s alt vibe meets a sweet ‘70s rock hook, that will instantly play on repeat in your mind.

Where You Gonna Run?” is the first single from the forthcoming full-length album, Airbus to be released January 19, 2024. Produced by the legendary Jack Douglas (Aerosmith, John Lennon, Cheap Trick), and mixed by the late, great Geoff Emerick (The Beatles, Badfinger, Elvis Costello) SILVERPLANES is helmed in rock royalty.

“Jack really helped us shape the songs,” says Aaron. “He knows how to bring out the best in everyone and is so generous. We’re always learning from him.” Geoff Emerick’s untimely passing after wrapping the album makes his impact even more meaningful. Aaron adds, “It was such an honor to work with Geoff. He made every mix so spacey and cool. I heard things during mixing I never imagined could sound like that. He really knew how to use the studio as an instrument.”

Be on the lookout for more singles dropping from SILVERPLANES through 2023.
