BALLS OUT! Would They Have It Any Other Way? Steel Panther’s Michael Starr

What can be said about Steel Panther that hasn’t already been said? They’re crude, crass, vulgar, explicit, exploitive, offensive, misogynistic… in other words everything a real rock n’ roll band should be! With their sophomore album, Balls Out debuting at number one on Billboard’s comedy chart, number 40 on Billboard’s Top 200 and Top 40 in Europe, these panthers are ready to pounce–literally. So lock up your daughters, nieces, sisters, aunts and mothers–granny’s probably safe. With song titles such as Weenie Ride, 17 Girls In A Row and It Won’t Suck Itself and lyrics that would make Andrew Dice Clay blush, Balls Out is proving to be an excellent follow-up to their debut album Feel The Steel.
Having paid their dues playing theL.A.club circuit for two decades, Steel Panther has found a unique musical niche that inexplicably appeals to virtually all age groups. Michael Starr says he sees fans at concerts ranging in age from 14 to 50 something. With song lyrics like “two in the pink, one in the stink” I’d like to know who these parents are bringing their 14 year old kids to a Steel Panther show. Hehehe.
The charismatic frontman, Michael Starr recently appeared on RadioScreamer to discuss their new album, the band’s long road to success, their incredible following of loyal fans and Hollywood elites and their current UK tour with Motley Crue and Def Leppard.

Most 14 year olds would already know what “2 in the pink, one in the stink” would mean. When I ask my kids these type of questions, they educate me!
