Germans are known for many things; great composers such as Bach and Mozart, scientists and engineers like Einstein and Gutenberg (Johannes not Steve), but they’re generally not known for their comedy!  Herman Rarebell, 20-year drummer of the Scorpions is truly a funny German.  While on tour promoting his new book, And Speaking Of Scorpions, Rarebell made a recent appearance on RadioScreamer and shared some hilarious stories of his early years with the band, detailing experiences with transvestites, blackouts and groupies.  Touring with the likes of Def Leppard, Judas Priest, Bon Jovi and Van Halen, the Scorpions made their mark, not only on America, but the entire world.  The book is chock full of fun stories, debauchery and insightful observations–just because he’s a funny German doesn’t mean he’s not an intelligent one too!  Listen to the interview in its entirety below.
