THE GLORIOUS SONS - promo shot - 4-11-16The Glorious Sons has announced a Spring U.S. run that kicks off in Fort Myers, FL at the Fort Rock Festival on April 30.  The band will make appearances at multiple festivals which include Welcome To Rockville, Carolina Rebellion, Northern Invasion, Rock On The Range and Rocklahoma.  A complete itinerary follows below.

This excursion follows a successful headline tour of the U.S., which was preceded by support runs with 10 Years and others.   Fueled by live appearances that have left legions of fans in their wake, support from U.S. radio, and pure critical acclaim, the band’s rise is real. Singer Brett Emmons shares, “In Canada we found our success with constant touring and hard work. We are going to do the same thing in the United States. We will win fans over with a dirty, bloody, sweaty rock and roll show, one show at a time. We’re excited play in front of new crowds and cover as much ground as possible in the big U.S. of A.”

In front of the tour, The Glorious Sons and Black Box present the band’s new music video for “Sometimes On A Sunday”:

Complex Magazine premiered the clip in Canada, where singer Emmons offered, “…I asked our director Dane Collison to go out and find footage of struggle, violence, and chaos, because I wanted viewers to have to watch the things that happen in our world that most of us chose to ignore.  The message in this song isn’t as black and white as equating God with man.  It is about power, materialism and the things we do. The way we feel as human beings, as we strive to achieve some sense of heaven.”

Historically, The band burst on to the scene in 2013 winning the HTZ-FM Rocksearch then launching three consecutive hit singles on to the airwaves with “Mama,” “White Noise,” “Lightning” and “Heavy.”  The latter three of which rose to #2 on the Canadian Rock Charts.  The band has enjoyed six consecutive Top 10 singles in Canada, including their first #1 with “The Contender” and the current hit “Sometimes On A Sunday.”  According to Mediabase they were the most-spun artist at Active Rock in Canada in 2015 surpassing heavyweights such as Foo Fighters, ACDC and Pearl Jam.THE GLORIOUS SONS - FB shot - 4-11-16

The band’s songs are anchored in recollections of real stories from a blue-collar perspective.  THE UNION, their latest release, is a collection of honest and heartfelt songs that touch on the themes of life, love, passion, loss and redemption.  Vocalist / lyricist Brett Emmons has a voice that is uniquely his own, indelibly recognizable with immediacy, that when backed by The Glorious Sons emits the best of timeless rock and roll.  This loud, lush and powerful ensemble is built from the union that is guitarists Jay Emmons and Andrew Young alongside the rhythm section of Adam Paquette (drums) and Chris Huot (bass).
