Acey Slade 2015 CROPNew York City punk’n roll singer/guitarist (Joan Jett and the Blackhearts/Dope/Murderdolls/TrashLight Vision) has recorded his debut solo album VALENTINES FOR SICK MINDS which Acey promises will be “a straight up rock and roll record!”

VALENTINES FOR SICK MINDS features Christian Martucci (Stone Sour/Dee Dee Ramone) on lead guitar, Frank Ferrer (Guns and Roses/ Psycadelic Furs) and Kriz DK (Deadstar Assembly) on drums with Acey handling all bass, guitar, vocals and production.

Recording VALENTINES FOR SICK MINDS began in March at Studio E in Brooklyn with engineer Tom Camuso (Lenny Kravitz/Ours) and has been mixed by Kato Khandwala (Pierce The Veil/The Pretty Reckless/Breaking Benjamin). Featuring 10 brand new songs, Acey says, “VALENTINES FOR SICK MINDS is a proper punk n’ roll album. Given the music climate right now, a punk ‘n roll album sounds fresh! It sounds new again!”

Acey’s PledgeMusic campaign was a call to arms for fans of guitar filed rock n roll.  This call to arms did not fall of def ears and the campaign reached over 210% of the target goal.

“Each time I was in the studio I’d invite vans  in to the studio with me when I would film my exclusive PledgeMusic studio reports. You’ll get behind the scenes/making of and even some stories behind the songs every week up until the album is released.”

Fans were able to pick the format they want and get the digital album before anyone else! They could choose from digital download of the music only; physical CD; old-school vinyl; Book version or an album exclusive with a T-shirt screen-printed by Acey himself. Or a printed black and white photo done in conjunction with Lomo Cameras!
