Girls Girls Girls - All Girl Motley Crue TributeWhat do mega rock stars Queensryche, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hinder, Stars in Stereo and Korn have in common with Girls Girls Girls, the all-female Motley Crue tribute from NYC? They will all be playing the main stage on Saturday, August 24th at Rock Jam in Grand Junction, CO. Rock Jam, Colorado’s largest music festival, now in its 11th year, was headlined by Motley Crue last year. For the upcoming 2013 extravaganza, Girls Girls Girls will kick off the festivities on Thursday, August 22nd with a party for the campers in the Jack Place Saloon, bringing the best of the Crue’s music to attendees in the band’s adaptation of rock’s baddest boys. Then on both Friday and Saturday, Girls will be providing side-stage entertainment between main stage acts, as well as performing a featured artist spot on the main stage on Saturday, August 24th at 1:15 p.m.

Formed in 2007, Girls Girls Girls was one of the first female tribute bands on the East Coast. Shortly after launching their career at a strip club in New Jersey, the band began playing regularly throughout the Northeast and went on to do some high-profile shows, starting with opening for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs at a sold-out Webster Hall appearance at the request of the band. New York Times best-selling author Chuck Klosterman invited the Girls to play a  special set before performing a reading of his book “Eating the Dinosaur” at NYC’s Highline Ballroom, personally choosing his favorite Motley Crue songs for the set. The band opened for Gilby Clark of Guns & Roses at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas at the 2008 Strippers & Hustler’s Ball. They were featured on VH1 Classic’s popular “That Metal Show” in a comedic spot on tribute bands. And then in 2009, it all came to an end when the bassist/founder had to leave due to family circumstances.

After three years off the music scene, Girls reunited in at NYC nightlife institution Brooklyn Bowl in front of hundreds of old and new fans alike.  They kickstarted their comeback playing 98.9, The Buzz’s Kimberly & Beck’s Monster Ball in Rochester, NY in October of 2012. Girls has been performing steadily since, returning to many of the venues from the old days and blazing new ground across the country in a new era of Girls.
