Azusa (Members of Dillinger Escape Plan, Extol, Sea + Air) to Release Debut Album “Heavy Yoke” on 11/16
Members of The Dillinger Escape Plan, Extol, and Sea + Air have formed a new + experimental project, Azusa, linking their seemingly incompatible influences to create something truly unique. Their debut album Heavy Yoke will be released on November 16 via Solid State Records.
For fans of Julie Christmas, Oathbreaker, and Myrkur, Azusa thrive in defying expectations by embracing contradiction, finding strength in vulnerability, harmony in dissonance, and melody in discord.

“It has been such a relief crafting music without having any outside expectations placed on us,” the band said. “Turning to creative playfulness with a more relaxed and intuitive approach to songwriting, we feel that this collection of songs will hold a unique space in the atmosphere of heavy music.”
