exotype tour pic 6-26-15Orlando, FL’s Exotype have announced dates for their upcoming headline tour, featuring support from Brightwell, Kingdom of Giants and Like Vultures.  The band is out in support of their self-titled debut LP, which was released last fall on Rise Records.  The album was recorded with Joey Sturgis (Of Mice & Men, Asking Alexandria, The Devil Wears Prada).

Melody and devastation co-exist, and are encased in a sprawling mechanical landscape painted by Orlando, Florida’s EXOTYPE. 5 young gentleman dare defy genre norms as they effortlessly meander between catchy, punishing, groovy, and ambiance. Each song is crafted with the precision of a seasoned and mature act, paying careful attention to even the most subtle of sonic details. Huge, soaring choruses compliment infectious riffs, and thunderous grooves lay waste to all those with their feet on the floor. Both a musicians band, and a listeners band, Exotype seeks to win the hearts and ears of all who give them a chance. One venue at a time, Exotype will conquer their way into your thoughts and tongues, and have no intention of letting up.

Exotype’s sound is characterized by an effortless mix of melody and devastation, which defies genre norms as it meanders between catchy, punishing, groovy, and ambient.
