In a brand-new interview with Laurent Lépine of Kool Radio, founder and frontman of The Compulsions, was asked “If you could choose the best lineup for The Compulsions, what would it be?”

Although  have featured several players from the ranks of Guns N’ Roses and New York Dolls, as well as Alec Morton (Monster Magnet, Raging Slab)Earl Slick (David Bowie, John Lennon), and even the late, great Hubert Sumlin (Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf)Carlyle politely declined to answer but instead offered, “There’s a dream lineup in my head that would just f*ckin’ blow the planet apart. I just haven’t really made it happen… but maybe it will one day.”

Rob then asked the host for his opinion on the matter, which prompted the following exchange:

Lépine: “First of all,  would be amazing with you!”

Carlyle: “Well, he would. I love Izzy, I love Izzy – but I need a strong lead guitar player. That’s the way I look at it. You know? So anyways, but yeah dude, I love IzzyIzzy would never do it because – he would never do it.”

Lépine: “You never know.”

Carlyle: “Yeah, Izzy would never do it. I love Izzy. I don’t know that we’re different enough – and I’m not saying that I’m the same as , I mean the guy’s a f*ckin’ hero and a genius… now that’s a genius. I’m thinking more along the lines of like, I need a borderline virtuoso guitar player who can f*ckin’ throw down some insane leads. I’ve only started getting good at that recently. And then, I need a badass drummer and a f*ckin’ great bass player. There’s a few guys out there that I have in mind but there’s one dream team in particular – but I really don’t want to say.”
