Extreme Guitar

The Paramour Group and JAAB Productions present the Extreme Guitar Tour 2015!  The XG Tour includes performances by guitar greats Uli Jon Roth, Vinnie Moore, Craig Goldy and introduces the new band Black Knights Rising.  The tour is sponsored by Dean Guitar and dDrum.

As a special treat for fans attending the show on January 31st in St. Charles, IL legendary front man Joe Lynn Turner has been added as a special guest.  Known for his exceptional lead vocal performances with Deep Purple, Rainbow and Yngwie Malmsteen, Turner will rock St. Charles alongside some of the best guitarists in the world!

Due to popular demand, additional shows have been added to the upcoming tour and another week of dates scheduled for February 10th through February 15th.  These dates will be announced next week.  FOR THESE DATES ONLY, Black Knights Rising will see a bit of a lineup change with Bobby Rondinelli taking over on the drums and Tim Ripper Owens on vocals.

In addition to the tour, Uli Jon Roth has announced that he will be conducting a Sky Academy Guitar Seminar on February 1st in Chicago, IL @ Reggie’s Rock Club.  This will be the only Sky Academy Seminar on the tour and tickets can be purchased HERE.

The aim of Sky Academy hosted by Uli Jon Roth is to provide knowledge and inspiration to those who take guitar playing seriously and to help them reach a new plateau. The seminars are designed to open musicians’ eyes to new possibilities and to trigger an awakening of the student’s full potential and talent.

Conceived in the summer of 2013 by JAAB Productions, it debuted in January of 2014 during NAMM week with a mini tour of five shows along the West Coast of California. These shows featured multiple artists performing on stage together, often with four & five guitarists jamming with dueling drummers.

The original concept started five years earlier when producer Andrew Banks paired guitarists of notoriety with Kofi Baker to play extended jam versions of Cream songs under the title of Extreme Cream. Guitarists that have played these shows, often lasting two & a half hours in length, include Mike Keneally, Uli Jon Roth, Gary Hoey, Michael Angelo Batio & Roy Z.

This two plus hour, multi drum kit & layered guitarist approach was perfected in early 2014 when Tour / Production Manager Jeff Agins took the concept on the road for five dates along the west coast. The response was VERY well received & requests poured in to take the XG Tour on the road across the US.

Canadian rockers Old James will be opening every show.

Drumming for Uli Jon Roth will be Kofi Baker, son of CREAM drummer Ginger Baker.

Elliot Rubinson, CEO of Dean Guitars will be featured on bass during the performances of all three guitarists.

Black Knights Rising are: Craig Goldy – guitar, Vinnie Appice – drums, Mark Boals – vocals, Allesandro Bertoni – keyboards and Elliot Rubinson – bass.

The fans have spoken & after several months of production, the first National XG Tour 2015 has become a reality!
