Santa Cruz confirm first UK shows for July 2013

SANTA CRUZ, the Helsinki-based four-piece who draw their inspiration from such hard rockin’ greats as Skid Row & Guns ´n Roses, will be Special Guesting with Spinefarm label-mates Vega on two UK shows in July.

These are:-

JULY

5^th – London, Barfly

6^th – Rock City, Nottingham

Completing the bill in London will be melodic rockers Curran, with the full bill in Notts yet to be announced.

Blending influences from ’80s & early ’90s rock with an accomplished level of musicianship plus elements of modern metal, Santa Cruz have already kicked up some serious dust in their native Finland, and now – with debut ‘Screaming For Adrenaline’ album on release and picking up positive reviews – the time is right for a UK visit, actually the band’s very first shows outside of Finland!

Says vocalist/guitarist Archie: “We are so stoked to bring our music to the UK for the first time! We seem to have fans there already, and hopefully we’ll make loads of new ones. We want to show everybody that hard rock is alive ‘n’ kickin’! From the UK, we really admire classic bands like The Stones, Zeppelin, Sabbath & Purple, as well as ’80’s groups such as Def Leppard & Judas Priest! And, more recently, The Darkness. We can’t wait!”

Loved by Children Of Bodom’s Alexi Laiho (“the awesome guitar playing makes me wanna bang my head into two pieces!”), ‘Screaming…’ is a bold statement from a band who have been together since 2007, and who have spent the past few years cutting their musical teeth via two EP releases plus some intensive home country gigging.
