Fans who were disappointed at not the seeing THE WHO’s multi-song performance as part of the Olympic Closing Ceremony can view a portion of the performance at these links found on their official website  and Facebook page.

The three-song set of the legendary band’s classics–“Baba O’Riley,” “See Me Feel Me/Listening To You” and “My Generation”–was described by Rolling (8-13-12) as “a spectacular finale to both the night and the games…The band was granted a multiple-song set, which was a blessing in a ceremony whose historical breadth necessitated sprints through minute-long covers of British classics and rapid-fire cultural references.”

Elsewhere, The Huffington (8-13-12) noted, “the 2012 London Olympics Closing Ceremony ended with a stirring performance from The Who.  Following an event which brought together some of the biggest British musical stars from the last 50 years, Who frontman Roger Daltrey and guitarist Pete Townshend sang the band’s hit ‘Baba O’Riley’ as well as ‘See Me, Feel Me/Listening To You’ and ‘My Generation.’” (8-13-12) added:  “The night ended with the extinguishing of the multi-petaled Olympic cauldron and a supercharged rendition of ‘My Generation’ and other classics by The Who that had the crowd dancing in the aisles. Confetti rained down, and fireworks lit up the sky.”

Later this year, starting November 1, THE WHO will embark on a major North American arena tour where they’ll perform their iconic 1973 double album QUADROPHENIA in its entirety, along with a selection of WHO classics.  More details about the tour can be found at
