Tremonti is kicking off their first US tour in support of their new album Cauterize this weekend. The tour kicks off at the Earth Day Birthday Festival this Saturday and runs through May 23rd where is wraps up in Destin, FL at Club L.A. The band will be making stops in Chicago, New York and Boston among others as well as hitting festivals like Welcome to Rockville, Carolina Rebellion and Rock On The Range. The band will also be playing various headline shows on this leg as well as support dates for Seether. Tickets for all upcoming shows are on sale now. More information and purchase links can be found at

The debut single from Cauterize “Another Heart” has been moving up the rock charts. The song shot in to the Top 15 on the Sirius/XM Octane chart and other stations are following suit. The song was recently released on iTunes where it landed in the Top 5 of the iTunes Rock Singles Chart and is available here: ArtistDirect recently reviewed the single and declared, “This is the crossroads of thrash, polyrhythmic tech metal, and melodic hard rock. It’s like if Slayer, Gojira, and Alice in Chains had a baby. It’s unlike anything out there, and it’s going to make a massive impact this year.” A lyric video for “Another Heart” was released a few weeks ago and has been viewed over 200,000 times since release. It can be seen here:

Cauterize is slated for release on June 9th via Fret 12 Records. The album features Mark Tremonti on vocals/guitars, Eric Friedman on guitars, Wolfgang Van Halen on bass and Garrett Whitlock on drums. From the first riffs of album opener “Radical Change” to the final notes of the epic closer “Providence,” it is apparent that Mark Tremonti is at a whole new level with his songwriting. His hard rock/heavy metal influences shine throughout the album on songs like “Flying Monkeys,” “Arm Yourself” and “Sympathy.” A second companion album of all new material from Tremonti called Dust is also completed and more information will be available in the future.

Bassist Wolfgang Van Halen will be missing some of the early touring plans due to the recently announced Van Halen tour. He recently said in a statement, “I am still part of Tremonti and very excited for the release of Cauterize, but unfortunately am unable to participate in the upcoming tour dates, both in the States and overseas due to my prior commitment with Van Halen for the upcoming summer tour in support of the Tokyo Dome Live In Concert album. Look forward to seeing all of the Tremonti fans on the road as soon as my schedule permits!”

Mark Tremonti is the Grammy Award-winning guitarist and songwriter known for his work in the critically acclaimed Alter Bridge and in the multi-platinum rock juggernaut Creed. Having sold over 40 million records worldwide, this is the man behind massive hits like “My Own Prison”, “Higher”, “Isolation” and “Addicted To Pain”—just to name a few.  His sound is recognizable and has garnered him a loyal fan base worldwide. Guitar World dubbed him “Guitarist of the Year” three consecutive years in a row, and he ranked as the “fourth greatest heavy metal guitarist ever” in Total Guitar.
