VH1 Classic is remixing Halloween and making it what it really should be: “Wholloween,” a day of celebrating all things THE WHO related, including the U.S. television premiere of the 2012 The Who doc “Quadrophenia: Can You See the Real Me?” at 8 PM ET/PT.  Kicking off The Who-fest at 12:30 PM ET/PT is the 1975 British film “Tommy” based on the 1969 rock opera of the same name. 3:00 PM ET/PT sees the airing of “BBC Electric Proms: The Who,” a 2006 intimate and totally rocking show at London’s Roundhouse. Then at 4:00 PM ET/PT is the revered rock-doc, “Classic Albums: Who’s Next,” chronicling the birth of classic Who album Who’s Next, and featuring in-depth interviews with frontman Pete Townshend. Following at 5:00 PM ET/PT is “VH1 Classic in Concert: Listening to You: The Who at The Isle of Wight,” the epic 2:00 AM set from the 1970 rock-fest attended by 600,000. Rounding out the night at 8:00 PM ET/PT is the premiere of “Quadrophenia: Can you See the Real Me,” which documents the recording of the 1973 rock opera of the same name.

THE WHO, one of rock’s legendary and defining bands, is set to embark November 1  on the first leg of their major “Quadrophenia And More” North American arena tour where they’ll perform all of their iconic 1973 double album QUADROPHENIA, along with a selection of WHO classics. The critically acclaimed QUADROPHENIA marked the British band’s second rock opera (after Tommy), raised the bar for rock albums as an art form and hit #2 on the U.S. Billboard album chart. The first leg of the North American tour wraps December 9.

The band–including founding members ROGER DALTREY and PETE TOWNSHEND, will be joined on tour by Zak Starkey (drums), Pino Palladino (bass), Simon Townshend (guitar/backing vocals), John Corey (keyboards/backing vocals) and Frank Simes (musical director, keyboards/backing vocals)–will embark on a second leg January 28, 2013 in Anaheim, CA.
