(video) Frontiers Records Celebrates 2022 as Banner Year
2022 has surely been a superb year for the Frontiers label!
We have reached a landmark 1400 releases and an overall catalogue that exceeds 800 album titles, with over 300 songwriters signed to our publishing house and 200 artists currently signed to the label.
In 2022, Frontiers Music accrued north of 231 million total audio streams, over 43,000 album downloads, and nearly 70,000 track downloads. Our physical business remains strong, achieving sales of more than 305,000 CDs (in various configurations), 50,000 units of vinyl, 325 cassettes, nearly 11,000 Blu-rays, 1,265 Box set editions for a total of nearly 370,000 physical units sold.
The top 3 streaming artists on the label were Eclipse, Journey and Blue Oyster Cult. The Top 3 streaming albums were Eclipse ‘Paradigm’, Eclipse ‘Wired’; and Blue Oyster Cult ‘Cult Classic’. The top 3 streaming songs were Eclipse “Viva La Victoria”, Blue Oyster Cult “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper”, and Eclipse “Roses on Your Grave”. The Top 5 videos released in 2022 were The Big Deal – “Never Say Never”; Stryper – “Transgressor”, Nazareth – “Strange Days”; Iconic “Nowhere To Run” and About Us – “Right Now”.
The most viewed video on the Frontiers Youtube channel for the year was Whitesnake’s “Shut Up & Kiss Me”. Watch it:
