FRANKLIN, TN, January 16, 2012 – Emotiva Pro, the company that is starting a revolution in pro sound, will showcase guitarist Johnny Hiland in three exclusive performance seminars at its National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) booth in Anaheim, Calif. Hiland will be appearing in Booth 1761 in Hall E that Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 4:30-6:00 p.m., alongside Emotiva Pro’s new Airmotiv line of high-performance professional audio components designed specifically for the studio and desktop studio markets.

A bluegrass guitarist with a fondness for rock and roll, Hiland has explored jazz, blues, and heavy metal in addition to learning to play the banjo, mandolin, and fiddle. He was born with nystagmus, an eye condition that has rendered him legally blind, but that hasn’t slowed down the Maine musician from becoming a busy session player in Nashville for country artists such as Toby Keith, Randy Travis,Ricky Skaggs, Janie Fricke, and Hank Williams III.

Hiland has recorded two albums with his own band on the Favored Nations label and recently signed a deal with Shrapnel Records. He was the first unsigned artist to be awarded an endorsement deal from Fender. When not in the studio or on the road, Hiland works as a motivational speaker and also wrote and illustrated a children’s book, Tuff the Special Bear.

“We’re delighted to have such a dynamic performer join us at NAMM,” says Dan Laufman, Emotiva’s President and CEO. “When we designed our new Airmotiv line, we had musicians like Johnny Hiland in mind. It features top-quality studio gear at prices that are affordable to every audio professional. This enables artists like Hiland to produce recordings that reflect their talent rather than their budget.”

New Airmotiv Monitors

In addition to showcasing Hiland at NAMM, Emotiva Pro will debut its new Airmotiv line of self-powered, high-resolution monitoring systems based on superior transducer and amplification technologies, and designed with recording studios and audio workstations of all sizes in mind. Each model utilizes Emotiva’s exclusive Airmotiv folded ribbon high-frequency transducer system, which provides crystal clear, extended frequency response throughout and even beyond the audible range. And their low-frequency drivers feature Curv® ultra rigid and lightweight composite cone structure, which provides extremely natural and well-balanced sound quality, and vanishingly low distortion.

All the Airmotiv monitors are fully bi-amplified, with separate internal amplifiers for both the woofer and high-frequency transducer. This design not only eliminates the need for outboard amplification (and more gear), but also enables greater output, lower distortion, and precise control of the acoustical system. Airmotiv monitors feature extensive setup and audio tailoring options that allow the monitors to adapt perfectly to virtually any room and location. Sporting both single-ended RCA and balanced XLR connections, the Airmotiv models feature high-frequency tilt control and a low-frequency shelving control.

Emotiva Pro follows Emotiva’s innovative strategy of factory-direct pricing, which offers superior gear at outstanding value and the best possible sound for the dollar. Emotiva Pro features a no-risk 30-day audition period, which lets the client judge their performance in the best possible environment, their studio or home. Clients can return the equipment for a no-hassle refund if they don’t agree that Emotiva Pro offers the most amazing sound value they’ve ever heard. In addition, all Emotiva Pro products feature a fully transferable five-year warranty.
