The Treatment - Running with the DogsEnglish hard rock band releases their second CD Running With the Dogs in North America on November 4, 2014 on Spinefarm Records.

Spinefarm Records seems to have an affinity for young, international, straight up rock bands, as we’d call . Spinefarm also represents the young Finnish hard-rockers Santa Cruz, who we interviewed earlier this year. You can see their interview here, which covers their time spent in the NYC visiting Spinefarm and their small, intimate acoustic performance they performed in support of their album release.

You may remember seeing if you happened to attend the 2012 KISS/Motley Crue tour – they’ve also toured/played with Alice Cooper, Steel Panther, Thin Lizzy and Slash – but the 2012 tour was to support their debut album release This Might Hurt, where they received some recognition, especially from their single The Doctor  which was fresh, raw and definitely helped them to earn some fans.

With the first song on the album being I Bleed Rock n Roll, The Treatment gives us a clear clue they are serious about embracing their rock-n-roll persona. And if you listen to 84.6% of the album (yes I calculated it), you’ll hear lots of music which sounds as through they’re trying to replicate the sound of early GNR, AC/DC, etc.

For something different (the 15.4%) check out Cloud Across the Sun, and the album’s rock ballad Unchain My World.

Unfortunately, The Treatment doesn’t seem to have a single here which matches what they achieved with The Doctor on their first album (it was different and enticing, making them an exciting new face in the rock world), but fans may find a few tunes they can enjoy so it’s still worth taking a listen.
