New Jersey’s loudest export storm into 2023 with record #20, a loud, brash moshpit statement from Bobby Blitz, D.D. and crew screaming hard a Scorched thrash agenda.

Scorched is a modern throwback destined classic from start to finish, filled with everything expected from the toxic green laden bat.

The title track Scorched is a slamming fist to the ear, assuring fans they’re still feeling the fire, still playing a deadly game with open flames.  A guitar intro, sounding as though ripped from the time and space of the ‘80s when Iron Maiden introduced the world to Eddie and Ozzy was a madman on the Crazy Train begins the chaos.  The six minute loud cranker smashes into all things Overkill a minute in with Verni’s unmistakable bass and Blitz’s screeching rasp following.  Everything blazes up with Blitz’s rasp shooting a flame-thrower strength lyrical inferno designed to destroy. Scorched earth, scorched brain, scorched dreams, everything, and that’s only the half-way point in a modern day Gasoline Dream.

Goin’ Home accompanies nicely with a timeless appeal.  Screaming old school vibes laying in a modern day bed of nail and thumb tack canvas.

First single and visualizer The Surgeon rips skin apart on impact capturing all feelings and emotions from both sides of the process, conjuring worst case scenario horror scenes and lyrical malpractice nightmares.  Blitz’s pace sews up flesh before bleeding out as soon as scalped guitar riffs forcibly tear vitals open.  These are your dark angels buzz-sawing into your recovery or doom, offering thrash worthy reassurance/best wishes or condolences.

Twist of the Wick has immediate circle pit potential with a doomsday clock opening guitar feel.  The mid-tune chanting monk’s add a surprising, haunting audio creep to the experience.

Wicked Place is a sinister, anxiety laced march toward the woodshed, basement, dungeon or worse while Fever swims in murky waves and depths surfacing between clean and raspy vocals in a performance inspired by The Prince of Darkness.

Harder They Fall smashes the wall like a classic slam dance invitation.  If you hit the floor, you can always crawl.

Overkill delivers another sonic KO forged in metal flames. Scorched will spread its wings high April 14th.
