Review: Iron Maiden's En Vivo! is a must have

A new live Iron Maiden Blu-ray, En Vivo!, was released this week through Universal Music Enterprises (UME). It is a wonderfully put together 2-DVD set with a double soundtrack album. En Vivo! was filmed on April 10, 2011, in front of over 50,000 ecstatic fans at the Estadio Nacional in Santiago, Chile during the “Round The World in 66 Days” leg of “The Final Frontier” tour.

This is a must have for any Iron Maiden fan. It captures a magnificent performance by the band, and even features the gigantic new Eddie. Bass player and founding member Steve Harris said, “For ‘The Final Frontier Tour’, it was really important to me that we filmed in South America as we’re always so overwhelmed by the fans’ reaction when we go to that part of the world and I wanted to reflect that in the filming.” The audio and video quality is excellent and takes your musical senses on a great journey.

There are so many extras on this DVD, and that makes it an even better bargain for any music collection. The 88 minute documentary goes behind the scenes for a true look at the band. It also includes the new version of “Ed Force One” that is piloted by front man Bruce Dickinson. The new DVD is proof that Iron Maiden is good to their fans, and the band has some of the most loyal fans in the world.
